It is important to get a good technical base from an early age. Depending on the voice and the child we would recommend starting from between 7 – 10 years. We are happy to offer a one-off initial lesson during which we can offer advice on how best to start.

Beginners
Does your child sing a lot around the house? Do you think they have a good voice? Are they keen to have lessons?
It’s important to get going with a solid technique and have lots of fun at the same time. As children develop we can introduce them to a wider repertoire, the possibility of exams and if they choose, performing with Imagine That Productions.

Improvers
Done some grades already? Would you like to take things further with expert tuition and a more in-depth look at singing technique? Think you might have the bug?
The first step is an assessment lesson to work out which teacher will be best for you for the next steps in your journey. You might want to think about the higher grades and Haslemere Singing Studio can help all the way through to Diploma.

Exams
We enter our students into ABRSM and Trinity singing exams. Haslemere Singing Studio has an excellent track record of 100% pass rate and many distinctions and merits amongst our students. Exams are a good marker of progress and test all round musicianship as well providing useful UCAS points in the higher grades!
